Our teacher is Miss Fortnum and our TA is Mrs Small.
I hope you had a lovely Easter break. We are now into the summer term, which promises to be a busy one!
This half term, our topic will be Extreme Earth: Earthquakes and Volcanoes. Some of our writing in English will be linked in with this topic, but we will also be beginning the term with a unit of work on non-chronological reports, using a dinosaurs theme. This will fit in well with our Science work this half term which will be rocks and fossils. This half term in maths, we will be working on geometry, measurement and fractions. Remember to keep practising your multiplication/division facts at home and practise telling the time at every opportunity!
Our PE day will usually be a Monday. Please make sure that children have appropriate clothing for PE, including: a plain t-shirt, jumper, shorts, jogging trousers and trainers or plimsolls. Our second PE lesson each week will be swimming which will be every Thursday from 20th April until 13th July.
Homework will be sent home on a Friday and collected in on a Wednesday. Homework will usually include: spellings, times tables and a maths task (sometimes online using Mathletics), and an activity linked to our work in class (usually English/Topic). Please continue to read with your child at home at every opportunity.
