Charity Work
Charity at Wilbarston School
At the heart of our school lies our Chrisian ethos and our vision that children should "learn with care, fun, respect and faith" and enjoy "life in all its fullness" as Jesus said. As part of a broad and balanced curriculum offer we ensure that we provide opportunities for our children to think of others and to have a the chance to contribute to the society they are part of. Our school children are involved in raising funds for others and usually choose themselves who we fundraise for. We believe that thinking of others and doing what we can to help is showing our care for the community around us and further afield. It links to our Christian, community and British values which we hold dear. The children suggest ideas through our School Council (e.g. Leicester Animal Aid and Clic Sergeant) and also want to take part in national fund raisers such as Children in Need.
We work closely with a local charity, Corby Foodbank and children suggested an extra collection for Christmas in 2019. For more information and how you can help please visit their website.
For our Harvest Festival Service this year we are donating to the local Corby Food Bank. A huge thank you to everyone who donated.
